My husband and I are still recovering from the way our souls were rocked today in Holt.
We used to attend River View somewhat regularly and have missed it a lot in the last few years. We happened to be in East Lansing for a wedding, and attended the 11:30(ish) service, during which I wrote down a single prayer request: that God would guide us to a church with a mission and passion for Jesus that is closer to our current home in West Bloomfield…
Then Restore Detroit was introduced, and God’s timing blew our minds once again! We’re so excited to find out His will for our involvement, and will be praying and keeping tabs on your blog.
We’re very thankful for everything you’re doing, everything you’ve sacrificed, and all the fruit that has and will undoubtedly come from this bold and beautiful leap of faith you’ve all taken.
What a blast & privilege it was for us be at Riverview this weekend! And isn’t cool how the God of the Universe knows our name & answers our prayers? Wow!

Hey Keith, it was great to see them last night! When are you coming to visit?
My husband and I came to Gordon Park on Sunday for church and we felt so welcomed by everybody, it was great to see what God is doing in the city and with this group of Christ followers. We went back to Lansing with the message ringing in our hearts and minds throughout this week. We are praying that God will show us how to use as we both have a heart for Detroit.
Renee, it was great to meet both of you – so glad you could join us for worship at Gordon Park. Let us know if you ever want to do coffee or meal, we definitely would be up for it! Thanks for praying for us as we seek to show & tell Jesus in central Detroit and how you might join this great mission.
