I Know Who I Am

Chorus:
I know who I am
I know who I am
I know who I am
I am yours
I am yours (2x)

And you are mine
Jesus you are mine
You are mine
Jesus you are mine

I was running, and you found me
I was blind, and you gave me sight
You put a song of praise in me
I was broken, and you healed me
I was dying, and you gave me life
Lord, You are my identity

I know, I know

I am forgiven, I am your friend
I am accepted, I know who I am
I am secure, I’m confident
That I am loved, I know who I am
I am alive, I am set free
I belong to you and you belong to me

Does your heart resonate with this song?  Does your identity come through Christ and His finish work on the cross?  Do you live because He now lives?

Do you know who you are?  It is a big deal to know who you are!

What is your identity dad?  WORK – KIDS – SPORTS – MONEY

What is your identity in mom?  HOME – KIDS – FRIENDS

What is your identity kids?  FRIENDS – SPORTS – SCHOOL

Good things can become your identity instead of the ultimate thing and soon you are not on mission for Jesus.

At RESTORE we have 5 Gospel identities

1: Worshiper of God

2: Child of God

3: Learner of God

4: Servant of God

5: Missionary of God

Each identity should inform how we live out the mission Jesus gave to each Christian.  If your identity is not in Christ it is in something or someone else.  When we become a new creation things change.  Our philosophy of life changes, our goals change, our needs and wants change and our mission in life changes.

What is your mission?  If you are identified with Christ it is very clear.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.  For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
