The Sword, the Trowel, & D’rusalem

Because opposition is not optional for those who follow Jesus, you must be both a lover & a fighter, just like Jesus. As Nehemiah leads the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem he is opposed. Nehemiah not only highlights the truth that opposition is inevitable if you will follow God, he also shows us how to respond to opposition – keep your hand on the trowel and grab a sword! Saturday we had the privilege of hosting our first wedding on the Restore property. 300 people gathered on the recently acquired side lot as we celebrated God’s gift of marriage. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Bovan!
